Multi Page Print Master

Multi Page Print Master prints a large image or poster on multiple sheets of ordinary paper. The app splits the image into a grid, for example 2 × 2 or 3 × 3 sheets, and each tile prints on its own page. Put the pages together and you have a poster, map, pattern or wall print far bigger than your printer.

Pick a grid or enter the final poster size in centimetres or inches, and the app works out how many sheets you need. On the Mac you can add overlap between sheets plus crop and alignment marks that make assembly easier.

Available for Mac on the Mac App Store and for Windows on the Microsoft Store. No large-format printer or print shop needed.

An ordinary printer prints on A4 or Letter paper at most. A bigger poster comes from splitting the image into a grid, printing each tile on its own sheet and joining the sheets together.

Preview on macOS and the Windows photo print dialog do not split an image across pages; they scale it down to fit one page. Some printer drivers have a poster mode, and Adobe Acrobat Reader can tile a PDF across pages, but both depend on your printer or file format.

1. Open the image (PNG or JPEG) by dragging it into the window or with the Open button. On the Mac you can also open a PDF; the first page is used.
2. Choose the final size: a ready grid from 1 × 1 to 5 × 5 sheets, or your own width and height in centimetres or inches, and the app calculates the grid. The image keeps its proportions.
3. Choose the paper size, for example A4, A3 or US Letter, and your printer’s margin: inkjet 6 mm, laser 4 mm, photo inkjet 3 mm or borderless.
4. On the Mac, add overlap (up to 2.54 cm / 1 in) and crop and alignment marks if you like. The preview shows how the pages split before you print.
5. Print straight away or save a multi-page PDF to print later or take to a print shop.

• Print at 100% and single-sided. If the print dialog scales the page, the sheets will no longer line up.
• Trim along the crop marks or the image edges. White space stays only around the outside of the finished poster.
• Overlap prints the same narrow strip of image on two neighbouring sheets, so a small cutting error does not leave a gap at the seam.
• Line the sheets up with the alignment crosses. With marks turned on, each sheet also gets its number and its row and column printed at the edge, so the order never gets mixed up.
• Tape the sheets together from the back one row at a time, then join the rows.

How do I print a large image on multiple pages?
Open the image in Multi Page Print Master, choose a grid (for example 3 × 3) or the final poster size and the paper size, then print or save a PDF. Each tile prints on its own sheet, and you join the sheets together.

Can I print a poster on A4 or Letter paper?
Yes. On A4, a 2 × 2 grid makes a poster of about A2 size and a 4 × 4 grid about A0. The final size is slightly smaller because printer margins and any overlap are taken off.

Can Preview on Mac or Windows print an image on multiple pages?
Not directly. Preview and the Windows photo print dialog scale the image to fit one page. Some printer drivers have a poster mode, and Adobe Acrobat Reader can tile a PDF across pages. Multi Page Print Master works with any printer and splits image files directly.

What is overlap?
Overlap is a narrow strip that prints on two neighbouring sheets. When you lay the sheets partly on top of each other, a small cutting error leaves no gap at the seam. On the Mac you set it from 0 to 2.54 cm (1 in).

Does it work with PDF files?
On the Mac, yes: the first page of the PDF is split and printed. Other pages of a multi-page PDF are not processed.

Do I need a special printer?
No. Any printer works. Choose its margin in the settings (inkjet, laser or photo inkjet). Use borderless only if your printer and paper support it.

Which operating systems is the app available for?
Mac (macOS 14.6 or later) on the Mac App Store and Windows on the Microsoft Store.
